PM Hillsboro, Greenfield, Lynchburg win CDBG projects |

The Highland County commissioners decided Wednesday on what three Community Development Block Grant projects to undertake for the fiscal year 2013, to be completed in 2014.
Chosen were street improvements for the village of
Greenfield, street improvements, phase II for the city of Hillsboro, and fire protection
facilities and equipment for the Lynchburg Area Joint Fire and Ambulance
District.
The Greenfield project involves eight catch basins on McArthur Way estimated at a cost of $32,200.Hillsboro's street improvements involve fixing a curb along South High Street that will cost approximately $30,000.The Lynchburg fire project includes five sets of bunker gear and five self-contained breathing apparatus units with a total cost of around $32,200.The commissioners were limited in undertaking only three projects this year with their allocated funds.Also Wednesday, the commissioners met with magistrate Cindy Williams to approve her annual contract with the Child Support Enforcement Agency and also heard from Heather Gibson with Help Me Grow on the status of the department's budget and grants it receives. |
